Also it's very important to always have 10+ bandages and 10+ healing smoothies at all times (3 random ingredients will make healing smoothie). You can change the difficulty in the menu at any point in your save. Focus first on getting tier 2 hammer, then tier 2 axe.Īlright, to start, if the game is too hard, play on an easier difficulty. Learn bug attack patterns to perfect block. My group did this for some of our first tier two tools lol. The sacs also spawn baby spiders so try not to kill too many at once. You can experiment with who will fight each other, but some good methods are using a bow on a bombardier and standing next to an enemy so the acid bomb hits them, or pulling basically any enemy into the red ant hill area so the soldier ants will fight it (don't forget to wear red ant armor to avoid being targeted).Īlso, spider egg sacs will occasionally drop mats like a ladybug head or bombardier parts, and you can find a ton of unguarded sacs if you climb up into the Hedge branches and explore. To start killing higher tier creatures solo, you've got two main options: get perfect at parrying all of the enemies moves and know how to avoid things like the bombardier acid, or get the bugs to fight each other. If you can convince some friends to try it out, it's really fun together! The enemies do scale up health when fighting in multiplayer, but there's just no way in single player to get the advantage of splitting aggro between two people or having a friend nearby to pick you up if you get blindsided by a random spider. Multiplayer exists for Steam friends, and tbqh, I feel like the game is heavily balanced for multiplayer. I recently started from scratch and progressed at a decent clip, so if you already know exactly what to be doing, it's possible to avoid a wall! (Trying to say this as a positive thing to tell you it's a knowledge gap, not necessarily that you won't be able to enjoy the game without grinding/luck now) Thank you guys! I'm enjoying my game again! I'm now 1v1 orbweavers no issue with timed blocking and a dope ass sword that steals health. The tip about dressing as an ant, going to the ant hill and luring large creatures there was not only helpful but crazy entertaining! Also the tips about going to Hedge changed everything dramatically. I didnt realize that was such a game changer in battles. The best helpful hints I've found were those saying to master blocking. Is that even implemented yet?Įdit: I wanted to do a follow, I really freakin appreciate all the comments. When I search for multiplayer games I come up with nothing. Any kind of help is appreciated! Sorry for the rant. And I can't kill the black ants to get into the ant hill to collect the weapon upgrade chip. Can't make a gas mask to get quartzite blob because I can't get the stinkbug parts. I can't make spider armor because I can't make berry leather. I can't make the drying rack because I can't get bombardier parts. Its becoming less fun each time I play because I'd just stopped progressing. I've got my weapons (larva blade, sprig bow and ant club] upgraded just below the salt/spice mods. Everything harder than a red ant just kicks my ass. I literally die everytime I leave my base now and try to do anything. I don't know how to unlock any of the new building blueprints. I can't kill any of the creatures I need to kill to build more things. But once I found burgl and did the grave robber chip search I hit a wall. I've had a pretty clear idea of what to do. The progression has been good up to this point. Ive got about 15 hours into the game and loved it so far.
